I'm a black girl too and I went natural about 1 1/2 years ago. I use Moisture max hair moisturizer. You can find it at almost any black beauty supply store. It comes in a white bottle with navy blue writing. They also have a light version of this in a light blue bottle. I also use carrot oil for everyday conditioning. The brand Organics has a great bottle that will last. Also for shampoo and conditioner, I use Motions shampoo and conditioner, plus after I use those to I use a hair mayonaise by the brand ORGANICS or cholesterol conditioner to deep condition. They both have to be rinsed out. This leaves my hair nice and shiny. While the mayonaise is in my hair(I use a lot) I also use a wide tooth comb to detangle my hair. After that style as usual. I hope that this can help you. I know it seems like a whole lot, but it really isn't . Natural is so healthy and so beautiful. You may get discouraged some days... but leave that relaxer in the store. Happy Fro Days!!!!!!

first of all, congrats on deciding to grow out ur relaxer!!

I would use a Jilbere Shower Comb and ONLY comb while in the shower after rinsing out a good conditioner under the pressure of the water of the shower comb.

For some good conditioners I would suggest v05 tangerine tickle, porosity control, and herbal essences hello hydration.

I do relaxers every 6 months so i hafta deal with my new growth all the time!
