What can I use on my 4 month olds hair to make it easier to comb?

My 4 month old has VERY thick hair and hates to have it combed. It tangles very easily and gets knots because it is so curly. She automatically starts to cry when I touch her hair because she is so tinder headed. I feel awful because she cries so much even though I try to be gentle. I have used Johnson's No More Tears and it helps some but not very much. She has sensitive skin and I am wondering if there is anything else that I can use to condition or detangle her hair.

Yes, there is a detangler for kids and it works great.

There are kids detangler spray out there!! If that does not work then try to put a little of your conditioner back there when she is taking a bath!!!

I had the same problem!!! I used a very tiny drop of baby oil and rubbed it into my hands then rubbed her head. It acted as a conditioner, and since i rubbed it into my hands 1st it wasnt too greasy. Also the spray on detangeler works too.

They do special baby conditioner, i found johnsons baby conditioner works well, or you could use a tiny bit of your conditioner but not too much.

Try Johnsons's No More Tangles for kids or there is another called Bedhead Spray but I am not sure who makes that one. Also try using a baby shampoo %26amp; conditioner in one to wash her hair.

Use a baby's conditioner, or you can try baby oil for her hair...it smells good and i don't think it would damage her hair, plus its good for her sensitive skin....you may want to consult her pediatrician about it first, though....

First of all the reason those "no more tears" shampoos are what they are is because they have "saline" in them which is what the water in our eyes is made of. "Saline" is salt...salt in shampoo dries out the hair, STOP using this shampoo and start using a "moisturizing" shampoo but be VERY careful not to get it into the babies eyes.

try using a detangaler for long hair. you can find this in either your baby section or shampoo section at your local grocery store or any store for that matter-like wal-mart,k-mart, or target

Try a product called " No More Tangles". It's sold in the baby/child aspirin/diaper/formula isle in the pharmacy. You spray it on wet hair and it instantly make the comb slide through the hair.

Johnsons actually makes detangling shampoo for babies. If that doesn't work, buy detangling solution for kids (also by Johnson). Also, because her hair is curly excessive washing will make it dry out and strip it of its natural oils. Its okay to skip shampoo every once in a while.
