Scanty limp hair?

I have very scanty, limp hair that gets very very greasy once in two days revealing scalp. Combing aggravates greasiness. I have read that regular, rigourous brushing of hair twice a day makes the hair grow strong. Some people also say that they do not massage/comb their hair for days together still their hair is dry, strong and thick. Is this true? Serious answers only.

Scalp treatments- you can do it yourself, get chorlestoral(for hair) at cvs, wash your hair, towel dry, so its damp, apply the chorlestoral to the scalp, and massage it in. Try massaging the scalp for 15 minutes, it increases the blood flow, Take a heating cap, or soak a towel in warm water ring it out and wrap it around your head, leave it on for about 15-20 minutes, and rinse. You might want to wash your hair again, if you don't rinse it all out it will weigh your hair down. Do this a couple of times a week, you should see an improvement within a month.

Shave it. Look at me!

overbrushing will pull out more hair or damage, just do enough to detangle.

Use a good shampoo, not a cheapie one.

I really recommend Tresemme.

You are probably using a volumizing shampoo, but it may be drying out your hair, switch to normal.

I would think that you should just wash it more often......maybe try a better shampoo, even if it's more money it would obviously be worth it if this is bothering you so much! and you should skip the conditioner every once in a while because I do know that conditioner can make your hair look oilier if you already have oily hair. BUT definately don't try brush it vigourously!!!!! all that is going to do is break your hair off!!! That is a very bad idea! and it's certainly not true that it makes it grow stronger!
