What is the right way to comb/brush hair?

I have long layered straight to wavy hair and kind of thin, I don't want to cause any breakage because it creates frizz. So what is the right way?

After you towel dry your hair (after washing), use a paddle brush to untangle it. The bristles are far apart and made of plastic so they don't snag or break your hair. To de-frizz your hair, rub a dime-size drop of shine serum through your hair while it's damp. Then, let it air-dry while you sleep. This will help smooth your hair.

Only comb with a wide toothed comb when hair is wet, and dont brush, according to Glamour, it stresses the hair.

it's cool if you put leave in conditioner while it's wet so that it can smooth out your hair an ensure shine and lessen frize and then with a wide tooth comb comb it from root to tip. don't brush your hair w/ a regular brush when it's wet..it can cause big time breakage.
